Krill oil is superior to fish oil. Krill are tiny shrimp-like species found in the icy waters of the Antarctic. They are at the bottom of the food chain, and therefore do not accumulate heavy metals like fish do, making them naturally low in heavy metals and other toxins.

Krill oil contains the best EPA and DHA forms of omega-3s, bound to phospholipids, not to triglyceride fats found in standard omega-3s from fish oil. This improves bioavailability and effectiveness, meaning lower doses can be used. These omega-3s are important for heart, brain and immune system health. They also help boost mood and prevent inflammatory disorders. Krill oil is also an excellent source of phosphatidylcholine, important for skin health, brain function and liver detoxification. It naturally contains astaxanthin, a powerful antioxidant.

Benefits | Features

    • 50% better absorption rate, better brain benefits and Krill oil is free from heavy metals
    • SOLAL’S NEW Krill Oil has a 10x better phospholipid* ratio. *Phospholipids are a major component of all cell walls.
    • For effectiveness: SOLAL’S NEW Krill Oil supplies more than double phospholipids*-omega-3s
    • An indicator of freshness: Look for the bubble - The nitrogen bubble flushes out air. Standard soft gel capsules allow 50 times more damaging oxygen to penetrate the capsule, therefore we use protective Vcaps® Plus capsules
    • Eco Harvesting™ - No unwanted by-catch of fish, sharks, seals or dolphins
    • Contains significant amounts of the omega-3 fatty acids: eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA)
    • Contains significant amounts of omega-9, with small amounts of omega-6
    • Contains phospholipids such as phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylserine amongst others
    • Provides vitamin A, vitamin E and astaxanthin
    • Astaxanthin is a powerful antioxidant which may have neuroprotective properties
    • DHA and EPA function via cell membranes where they are anchored by phospholipid molecules
    • DHA has been shown to be essential to pre- and postnatal brain development and EPA seems more influential on behaviour and mood
    • Studies have demonstrated that krill oil is effective for maintaining healthy triglyceride levels and may support healthy blood lipid levels
    • Been shown to reduce the symptoms of dysmenorrhoea
    • May help reduce excessive inflammation thereby supporting joint health
