When buying clean, non-toxic makeup, it is important that you clean your brushes with a non-toxic, chemical free, all natural brush shampoo.
- Free from chemical ingredients or preservatives that cause DNA mutations, endocrine disruption or cancer
- All natural ingredients
"This makeup brush shampoo is free from preservatives, methylisothiazolinone and parabens. These chemicals are normally found in other makeup brush shampoos. SLS is a chemical surfactant that creates that thick lathering that we are all 'addicted' too! Natural surfactants such as decyl glucoside, sucrose cocoate, sodium methylcocoyl taurate, and sodium lauroamphoacetate may not foam like a conventional product, but we can get used to this once we know how harmful the chemical versions are! Methylisothiazolinone and parabens are often added to conventional washes as a preservative to extend shelf life. Products containing these should be avoided because they are carcinogenic and cause endocrine disruption".
